Ms. Arlanda Williams

Secretary

Arlanda Williams is currently serving her second term as the elected representative of District 2 on the Terrebonne Parish Council and the past Chairwoman of the Council, being the first female to hold this position. She is currently President of the National Association of Black County Officials and also holds the position of 2nd Vice Chair of the Louisiana Democratic Committee. Ms. Williams is also an active member of several other civic and community organizations. She is a 1989 graduate of Terrebonne High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s of Art in Criminal Justice, both from Southern University in New Orleans,

Ms. Williams is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Terrebonne and, in 2009, was presented the Athena Award by the Women’s Business Alliance for outstanding leadership and community involvement. Ms. Williams is also a 2011 recipient of the MacDonell United Methodist Children’s Services “Outstanding Community Volunteers” Award. She attends Plymouth Rock Baptist Church and is the proud mother of Joshua and Jere` Williams.
