Mr. Paul Labat
Paul Labat helped develop The Foundation for Terrebonne General Medical Center with the help of a dedicated Board of Directors. After completing 38 years of service to the Terrebonne Parish Government, mostly as the Clerk of the Terrebonne Parish Council, he began serving as a consultant to TGMC, working on projects as varied as the Foundation, Wellness Programs, governmental liaison, Discharged Patients Survey and others activities.
Mr. Labat has worked with numerous local organizations and has served as Board President and member of the Terrebonne Historical & Cultural Society, the United Way of South Louisiana, Le Petit Theatre de Terrebonne, the Houma Terrebonne Arts & Humanities Council, the Civic Center Development Corporation, the Friends of the Library, La Terre Federal Credit Union, Leadership Terrebonne, to mention a few. Mr. Labat was selected as the Courier’s Most Useful Citizen for 2005, Volunteer Activist for the Tri-Parish Area in 2001 and Humanitarian of the Year.
