The Foundation’s first fund-raising event was a casual, relaxed event of great food and lively music was held on October 4, 2012 between the hours of 5:30 and 8:30. By holding the affair on the fourth floor of the TGMC parking garage, event attendees not only got to enjoy dinner from Big Mike’s BBQ and fantastic music by Billy Stark and Band, but also enjoy a unique view of Houma in an open air setting in early fall. Photo opportunities for the attendees were a bonus for all present, along with an old fashioned “balloon pop”. Various colored balloons were sold, each containing a number which corresponds to a prize which was donated to the Foundation. Those persons purchasing a balloon are guaranteed a prize which corresponds to at least, if not more than, the cost of their ticket.

A host of volunteers from different organizations, including TGMC’s Team Terrebonne, made certain that the attendees enjoyed a perfectly relaxed and enjoyable evening.
